ABC Moderators Target Trump With ‘Fact Checks’ While Ignoring Kamala Harris’ Lies
President Donald Trump was repeatedly interrupted by ABC moderators during Tuesday night’s debate as they insisted on “fact-checking” his remarks. In stark contrast, Vice President Kamala Harris was able to spread several falsehoods without being challenged by the moderators.
Throughout the night, moderators Lindsey Davis and David Muir fact-checked Trump multiple times, including during a discussion on abortion. They falsely claimed that no state allows abortions at term, despite evidence showing that states like Oregon and Colorado have no restrictions on abortion. While Trump was subjected to heavy scrutiny, Harris’ own inaccurate statements were left untouched.
Harris made numerous false claims during the debate, including her assertion that Trump would ban IVF and support a federal abortion ban — both of which he has denied. She also tried to tie Trump to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, despite Trump having distanced himself from the policy proposals.
The Charlottesville incident was another focal point for Harris. She accused Trump of calling white supremacists “very fine people” following the 2017 protests, a statement that has been widely debunked. Trump actually condemned the white supremacists involved, yet Harris was not fact-checked for her misleading claims.
In addition, Harris wrongly suggested that Trump predicted a “bloodbath” if he wasn’t reelected. In reality, Trump was discussing the potential economic consequences of Biden’s electric car mandates on American workers, not a literal bloodbath.
As the debate concluded, Trump questioned why Harris hasn’t addressed key issues like the economy and immigration, despite her time in office. Harris avoided directly answering, leaving many to wonder why she hasn’t made progress on these matters.
