Democrat Lawmakers Plan To Ban President Trump From US Capitol
Two Democrat lawmakers are pushing for a permanent ban on former President Donald Trump that would prevent him from ever entering the U.S. Capitol, according to Blaze Media.

The concurrent resolution, which was introduced by Rep. Nikema Williams (D-GA) and co-sponsored by Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), seeks to bar Trump and other individuals such as Steve Bannon, former White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, Trump’s Chief of Staffs Mark Meadows, former Trump assistant Peter Navarro, John Eastman, Kenneth Cheseboro, Jeffrey Clark and Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani from the Capitol.
“The Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, and the United States Capitol Police shall take such actions as may be necessary to prohibit President Donald John Trump, Steve Bannon, Mark Meadows, Dan Scavino, Peter Navarro, Jeffrey Clark, John Eastman, Kenneth Cheseboro, and Rudy Giuliani from entering the United States Capitol,” the resolution reads.
Eric Swalwell leads Democrats seeking to ban Trump from US Capitol
The bill seeks to punish Trump and his advisers for pushing officials to investigate election fraud during the 2020 presidential election. The bill also falsely accused Trump and his allies of inciting the January 6 Capitol protest.
Swalwell, an original co-sponsor of the resolution, took to Twitter to describe it as a “brilliant bill” while falsely labeling Trump as an arsonist who almost burnt down the Capitol.

Trump, who is running for the White House come 2024, responded to the bill via a statement on Wednesday. The former president described Swalwell as an “idiot” who is only supporting the bill for “publicity purposes.”
