Disney VP Confronted By James O’Keefe Over Alleged Hiring Discrimination
James O’Keefe confronted Michael Giordano, a senior vice president at the Walt Disney Company, after an undercover video revealed claims of discriminatory hiring practices against white men. The O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) released the video and a clip of the confrontation on Monday.
The footage shows O’Keefe approaching Giordano at a Los Angeles restaurant, confirming his identity and Disney affiliation. Giordano promptly leaves, gets into his white Tesla, and drives away on Sunset Boulevard, with O’Keefe pursuing him on foot and capturing the encounter on camera.
“Walt Disney Senior Vice President Michael Giordano is confronted by James O’Keefe and @OKeefeMedia after uncovering @Disney‘s discriminatory hiring practices,” O’Keefe posted on X. “Caught off guard, Giordano fled to his car with O’Keefe tailing him.”
The confrontation was witnessed by Hollywood influencers, who praised OMG’s efforts. In the undercover video, Giordano disclosed that Disney’s human resources department allegedly discriminates against white men. “Friends in HR and other divisions told me they’re not considering any white males for the job,” Giordano said to an OMG undercover journalist.
Giordano further claimed that his status as a white male limits his career advancement at Disney. “I am a white male, and that’s not who Disney is looking to promote at the moment,” he stated. He also mentioned that a biracial candidate was overlooked for a promotion because he did not appear African American.
“We wanted to hire someone half black who didn’t look it, and a creative executive said that’s not what’s wanted,” Giordano said. He explained that Disney uses euphemistic language to avoid legal repercussions, utilizing “code words and buzzwords” to describe their hiring preferences. Despite these precautions, Giordano predicted that Disney’s practices could eventually result in legal action.
This report emerges as Disney continues to implement progressive policies on gender and race, embedding these values into their entertainment content.
