FBI Director Vows Crackdown On Swatting After Conservatives Targeted

FBI Director Kash Patel has responded to a surge in swatting incidents, announcing on X that his agency is actively investigating and working with local law enforcement to address what he called a “dangerous trend” of false emergency calls targeting media figures. Patel’s statement, made on March 14, 2025, comes after multiple high-profile conservatives were reportedly swatted in recent days.

According to Gateway Pundit, conservative influencer Gunther Eagleman was one of the latest victims. The report states that a caller falsely claimed there was a hostage situation at his residence, leading to a heavy law enforcement response. Eagleman’s brother, Mike Engleman, was also reportedly swatted within the same timeframe.

The Daily Mail detailed another alarming case involving conservative radio host Joe Pagliarulo, also known as Joe Pags. The report explains that Pags captured video footage of an armed individual outside his home early on March 12, shortly before police arrived. Pags later confirmed that he had contacted Patel directly, urging federal action against those responsible for these politically motivated attacks.

Meanwhile, The Post Millennial reported that InfoWars host Chase Geiser experienced two swatting incidents in a single night. The outlet described how Geiser was called out by name, handcuffed, and informed by police that a fake report had been filed, falsely claiming he had threatened his family. This pattern of precise targeting has led many to suspect prior doxing played a role in these attacks.

Patel emphasized that these incidents are not about politics but about ensuring public safety and preventing law enforcement from being misused as a weapon. His statement on X made clear that the FBI would not tolerate such tactics and vowed “more updates to come” as investigations progress.

As concerns over swatting grow, Patel’s firm stance signals that federal authorities are taking the issue seriously. The cases outlined by conservative media outlets paint a disturbing picture of coordinated efforts to target individuals based on their political affiliations.
