Harris Presidency Could Lead To Surge In Illegal Immigration, Report Warns

A recent report projects that if Vice President Kamala Harris is elected president, the U.S. could face a massive influx of illegal immigrants. The analysis suggests that Harris would continue the Biden administration’s open border policies, potentially resulting in nearly four million illegal immigrants entering the country by 2025. Over her four-year term, this could bring the total to 12.3 million new illegal immigrants.

Pro-migration advocates predict that immigration levels under a Harris presidency would far exceed those under a second Trump administration. The report noted that a Harris administration could see one immigrant for every American born, leading to a population increase of 15 million over her term.

The contrast between Harris and Donald Trump on immigration is stark. In the “Trump, low” scenario, net migration is projected to be negative, meaning more people would leave the country than enter, with Trump proposing mass deportations. In the “Harris, high” scenario, however, immigration could soar, with an estimated 3.7 million immigrants arriving by 2025.

Economically, the report found that immigration policies under Harris would result in higher GDP growth compared to Trump’s more restrictive approach. It projects that the economy would grow by $130 billion more under Harris’ policies by 2025 than under Trump’s. However, conservative critics argue that the increase in illegal immigration would strain resources, particularly housing.

Despite Harris’ promise to spend $40 billion on housing for American families, critics warn that an influx of illegal immigrants would likely fill up those homes, leaving fewer opportunities for American citizens. Trump, on the other hand, has pledged to secure the border and deport illegal immigrants, which he argues would free up housing and resources for Americans.
