Kellyanne Conway Registers As Foreign Agent For Ukraine
Kellyanne Conway, former senior counselor to President Donald Trump, has registered as a foreign agent for Ukraine. Records from the National Security Division confirm that Conway signed a $50,000-a-month contract with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to lobby U.S. lawmakers in support of Ukraine.
The contract, which began on July 25 and runs until November 14, tasks Conway with raising awareness among U.S. decision-makers about Ukraine’s fight for freedom against Russia’s aggression. Her role includes organizing meetings between Ukrainian soldiers and U.S. political leaders and convincing U.S. officials to attend the annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting, a forum discussing Ukraine’s European future.
The U.S. has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine since the war with Russia began in February 2022, providing approximately $175 billion in military and financial assistance. Conway’s involvement aims to bolster this support by enhancing understanding and engagement among American lawmakers.
Conway, who served as Trump’s senior counselor from 2017 to 2020, brings significant political experience to her new role. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation, a prominent Ukrainian organization, seeks to leverage her expertise to strengthen U.S.-Ukraine relations.
