NJ Man Planned Grocery Store Attack, Spoke Of ‘Erasing’ White People
A former U.S. Marine from New Jersey was arrested for threatening to carry out a racist mass shooting targeting white people. Joshua Cobb, 23, allegedly made disturbing posts fantasizing about becoming a serial killer to “cause mayhem on the white community,” who he felt could never understand his struggles.
Federal prosecutors say Cobb spoke of acquiring guns and planning an attack in 2023 at locations like a Jersey Strong gym and Aldi grocery store in Robbinsville that he had “frequented” and felt were vulnerable. He allegedly began plotting “entry and exit points” and aspired “to kill as many as I intend to.”
A black ex-Marine charged for planning to "erase" white people in mass shooting attacks, feds say.

Cobb was arrested May 10 after his phone revealed notes describing how to smuggle weapons into New Jersey. He now faces a charge of transmitting interstate threats and a potential 5-year sentence if convicted of threatening a racist killing spree.
