Senator Reveals 50 ISIS-Linked Illegal Immigrants Are Missing In US

Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) has issued a dire warning about 50 illegal immigrants smuggled into the United States by ISIS-affiliated networks who are currently unaccounted for. The alarming revelation comes in the wake of recent terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, intensifying concerns over national security.

In an interview on Sunday, Banks disclosed that the Department of Homeland Security identified 400 individuals linked to ISIS who were smuggled across the southern border last year. Of those, 50 cannot be located. “We don’t know who they are or where they are,” he said, emphasizing the urgency of addressing these security lapses.

The senator pointed to the southern border as a critical vulnerability, citing the Biden administration’s failure to secure it as a key factor in allowing terrorists to infiltrate the country. Banks expressed confidence that President Donald Trump’s incoming administration would take decisive action to address the issue.

Banks also highlighted Trump’s first-term success in eliminating the ISIS caliphate, suggesting it is a hopeful sign for tackling current threats. He further praised Trump’s nominees, Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth, for their roles in reshaping intelligence operations to prioritize national security.

The warning comes as Americans grapple with the aftermath of two deadly attacks. In New Orleans, a New Year’s Eve assault on Bourbon Street killed 14 and injured dozens, while a Las Vegas attack left numerous victims in what officials have tied to ISIS-inspired actors.

Investigators continue to search for the missing individuals as lawmakers call for enhanced border security measures to prevent further terrorist infiltration.
