Silicon Valley Elites Show Support For Trump At $12 Million Fundraiser

In a display of force, supporters of the GOP in Silicon Valley gathered at an unprecedented fundraiser for presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, raising $12 million on Thursday night.

The event, co-hosted by tech entrepreneur David Sacks and his wife Jacqueline, along with venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, featured tickets priced at $500,000 per couple and $300,000 per individual.

The sold-out fundraiser, held at Sacks’ home Broadcliff in Pacific Heights, attracted notable figures from the entrepreneurial and venture capital world, including the Winkelvoss twins and crypto leaders. Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) introduced Trump, followed by a welcome from Sacks. Harmeet Dhillon, an attorney and RNC Committeewoman for California, shared that Trump was “relaxed, happy, and cracking jokes about AI.”

The event highlighted the growing willingness of Trump supporters in Silicon Valley to speak out in favor of the former president, despite his recent conviction in New York on 34 felony counts of falsified business records related to payments made to his attorney.

The successful fundraiser comes as Trump has consistently raised $141 million in May, closing the cash gap with President Joe Biden and the Democrats, who often hold star-studded Hollywood fundraisers with celebrity elites. The show of support from Silicon Valley elites demonstrates Trump’s enduring appeal among influential figures in the tech industry.
