Stefanik Questions ‘Random’ Assignment Of Judge In Trump’s Manhattan Trial
GOP Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (NY) has filed a misconduct complaint with the New York State Unified Court System, alleging that the assignment of Judge Juan Merchan to Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan may not be truly random. Stefanik points out that Merchan, a Democrat donor, has been assigned to multiple cases involving the former president and his allies.
Nobody is surprised that "Acting Judge Merchan" is a corrupt puppet performer of a corrupted NY State Judicial System.

In her complaint, Stefanik argues that the probability of Merchan being randomly assigned to three specific cases – the current trial against Trump, the previous trial against the Trump Organization and the upcoming trial of former Trump advisor Steve Bannon – is “infinitesimally small,” given the number of available justices.
Stefanik also highlights Merchan’s political contributions to President Biden’s 2020 campaign and progressive organizations, including one called “Stop Republicans.” She further notes that Merchan’s daughter, Loren, heads a consulting firm that could “profit greatly” if Trump is convicted.

“One cannot help but suspect that the ‘random selection’ at work in the assignment of Acting Justice Merchan, a Democrat Party donor, to these cases involving prominent Republicans, is in fact not random at all,” Stefanik wrote.

The congresswoman has requested an investigation into the assignment process and called for disciplinary action against anyone found to be involved in a “scheme” to assign Merchan to these high-profile cases.
