Time Magazine Owner Slams Harris For Avoiding Interview Requests
Marc Benioff, the owner of Time magazine, criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for failing to respond to repeated requests for an interview with the magazine. Posting on X, Benioff expressed his frustration, highlighting that Harris is the only Presidential candidate who has not granted Time an interview.
“Despite multiple requests, Time has not been granted an interview with Kamala Harris—unlike every other Presidential candidate,” Benioff wrote. He pointed out the importance of transparency, adding that the magazine publishes full interviews and allows candidates to speak directly to the public.
Benioff also linked to interviews Time previously conducted with Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden, underscoring the magazine’s commitment to offering a platform for political figures to share their views. However, Harris has yet to participate in an exclusive interview with the publication.
While Harris has appeared on shows like Howard Stern’s and the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, her decision not to engage with Time has raised questions. By contrast, Trump has been active on conservative media outlets, including Fox News and various right-leaning podcasts.
Harris is set to appear on Fox News for the first time this week, participating in an interview with Bret Baier on “Special Report.” Nevertheless, Benioff’s criticism highlights the growing scrutiny of Harris’ media strategy as the 2024 election looms.
