Trump Blocks UK From Sharing US Military Intelligence With Ukraine
President Donald Trump has not only cut off U.S. military intelligence from Ukraine but has also gone further, instructing the United Kingdom to withhold American intelligence from Kyiv. The move marks a significant escalation in Trump’s effort to shift Western policy away from endless support for Ukraine’s war effort and instead push for a negotiated peace between Ukraine and Russia.
The decision comes on the heels of Trump’s suspension of U.S. military aid to Ukraine, which has already left Kyiv scrambling for alternative sources of funding and weaponry. Reports indicate that all U.K. intelligence and military branches have been ordered to stop sharing U.S.-derived intelligence with Ukraine, effectively cutting off a key source of battlefield information that had been instrumental in Ukraine’s strikes on Russian forces.
🚨Breaking: The US has banned Britain from sharing any military intelligence with Ukraine.
This is akin to being kicked out of the five eyes, it also signals the lowest point in UK/USA relations.

Trump’s directive follows a heated Oval Office meeting in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reportedly clashed with Vice President JD Vance and refused to sign a minerals deal without additional security guarantees. During the exchange, Zelensky warned that Americans would “feel it” if the U.S. stopped backing Ukraine — comments that did not sit well with the Trump administration.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that intelligence-sharing channels with Kyiv had been frozen. “Trump had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said let’s pause,” Ratcliffe said. The decision has already had immediate consequences, with the U.S. reducing surveillance flights that had been crucial to Ukraine’s ability to track Russian movements.
The impact of the intelligence cutoff could be severe, as Ukraine had relied heavily on U.S. intelligence to coordinate precision strikes against Russian targets. While some European nations may still attempt to provide assistance, Trump has made it clear that he expects NATO allies, particularly the U.K. and France, to take more responsibility if they wish to continue propping up Ukraine.
By tightening the flow of intelligence and military aid, Trump is ramping up pressure on both Ukraine and Russia to negotiate an end to the conflict. With the U.S. stepping back, Ukraine’s ability to sustain its war effort is now more uncertain than ever.
