Trump’s DOGE Freezes USAID As Deep State Scrambles To Save Funding

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk and backed by President Donald Trump, has taken drastic steps to halt the operations of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID, a key funding mechanism for globalist initiatives, has been effectively shut down, with staff locked out, access to internal systems revoked, and two top officials placed on leave.

DOGE officials moved in swiftly, seizing control of USAID’s financial networks and cutting off access to classified information. Senior security personnel, including Director of Security John Voorhees, refused to comply and were immediately placed on leave. More than 600 employees lost access to their workstations overnight, while those still logged in received an email instructing them to stay away from headquarters.

Musk has not held back in his criticism of the agency, calling it a “criminal organization” on X. He confirmed that Trump had reviewed the findings and agreed with shutting down USAID, which has long been accused of diverting taxpayer funds toward left-wing causes. The White House issued a statement condemning the agency’s spending, which includes DEI programs, LGBTQ outreach, and subsidies for electric vehicles in foreign countries.

USAID has faced scrutiny for years over its questionable financial practices, including alleged connections to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company tied to the Biden family. Reports also suggest the agency has funneled money into organizations that played a role in legal efforts against Trump. DOGE’s audit has now exposed these operations, bringing calls for a deeper investigation into USAID’s spending.

The administration’s crackdown has led to pushback from Democratic lawmakers and federal employee unions. Several unions have already filed lawsuits against DOGE and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, alleging unauthorized access to financial records. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are demanding answers from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, questioning whether DOGE agents had the authority to enter USAID’s headquarters.

Despite opposition, the Trump administration remains firm in its mission to dismantle wasteful government spending. Reports suggest USAID’s future remains uncertain, with discussions about merging it into the State Department. The agency’s website and public records have already gone offline, further complicating attempts to track its financial dealings. With DOGE in control, bureaucrats who once operated in the shadows now face unprecedented scrutiny.
