Trump Urges Supporters To Join His “Fight For America” In Post-Verdict Video

In the wake of his conviction on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office criminal case, former President Donald Trump released a video on his social media platform, Truth Social, calling on his supporters to join him in his “fight for America.”

The black-and-white video features Trump’s voice, seemingly from a previous rally, declaring, “This is the final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the deep state. We will expel the warmongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists; we will cast out the communists, Marxists, and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country.”

Trump’s narration continues, “We will rout the fake news media. And we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.” The video concludes with a call to action, urging viewers to text “TRUMP” to a specified number to join his “fight for America.”

Following the guilty verdict, Trump quickly decried the outcome as “rigged” and portrayed himself as “a very innocent man.” He also moved swiftly to raise money off the jury’s decision, writing to his base that he was the victim of an unfair trial as he campaigns to return to the White House in November.

As the first former president to be convicted of a felony, Trump is set to face sentencing in July, just before the Republican National Convention. While a felony conviction does not bar him from seeking the presidency, the development is expected to have significant implications for the upcoming presidential race.
