X Goes Dark As Musk Battles Deep State Attacks
Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, was abruptly knocked offline on Monday in what he called a “massive cyberattack.” The timing of the outage is raising alarms, especially given Musk’s ongoing war against some of the most entrenched power players in Washington and beyond.
Musk revealed on X that the attack was well-funded, stating, “There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X.” He suggested it was executed by “either a large, coordinated group and/or a country.” Given Musk’s relentless push to expose government corruption, the possibility that intelligence services played a role cannot be ignored.
For months, Musk has been directly challenging the Deep State. His partnership with President Donald Trump has included an effort to audit the Department of Defense, which has poured billions into Ukraine’s war effort. He has also called out USAID, labeling it a “criminal organization” over its use of taxpayer money to fund shadowy operations. This has made him a major target of the establishment.
The attack on X comes amid an orchestrated effort to cripple Musk’s businesses. Tesla dealerships have been vandalized, Cybertrucks have been defaced, and protests — allegedly backed by left-wing donors — have erupted at Tesla facilities nationwide. Musk has also lost over $100 billion in stock value this year, driven by organized boycotts against his companies.
X’s outage follows a series of intelligence-backed censorship efforts. Leftist activists and bureaucrats have repeatedly called for tighter control over online speech, particularly on platforms Musk has fought to keep free. The coincidence of these factors suggests that X’s takedown was not random.
As Musk continues exposing corruption, the attacks against him are intensifying. Whether through financial sabotage, business disruptions, or cyber warfare, powerful forces are working to silence him. The outage of X may just be the latest front in a much larger war.
