Democrat Brags That Trump Can’t Receive Fair Trial In DC

While celebrating establishment presidential candidate Nikki Haley (R) winning her first contest in the GOP primary in Washington, D.C., Democrat election lawyer Marc Elias bragged about the outcome proving that former president and current GOP primary frontrunner Donald Trump has no hope of receiving a fair trial in the nation’s capital.

Haley has lost every single state thus far in the GOP primary by massive margins, including her home state of South Carolina — but she has now secured her first victory in the District of Columbia, an area with a population of more than 700,000 people, only 26,714 of whom are registered Republicans as of Oct. 2022. Out of this voter pool, Haley received only 1,274 votes to Trump’s 676 votes.

Elias shared these results in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he celebrated the notion that the vote totals in Washington, D.C. — an area that is overwhelmingly far-left, where the majority of the Republicans are reportedly vehemently anti-Trump and pro-establishment — mean that Trump cannot receive a fair trial in the political prosecutions he is facing.

“In a city of 700,000, Donald Trump got 676 votes in the GOP primary. A tough jury pool,” declared the Democrat election lawyer, who runs the so-called “Democracy Docket,” which files lawsuits on behalf of Democrats while claiming to defend “democracy.”

Elias played a key role is creating the “Russia collusion” hoax, was instrumental in suing states to change voting laws to benefit Democrats ahead of the 2020 presidential election and has even previously challenged the results of elections — but he claims that Trump and his supporters are the true threats to “democracy.”

He was blasted on social media for celebrating the politicization of the justice system in the nation’s capital.

“Confirming the DC Justice system has been corrupted by politics isn’t the flex you think it is,” the Republican Party of Arizona responded.

“So you approve of the political bias/impossibility of getting a fair trial. Noted! You are the modern-day lynch mob, Marc,” lawyer Viva Frei wrote.

“Showing your true Stalin colors again Marc. You wear faux-democracy like a costume while bragging about your stacked show trials,” one X user wrote.

“Bragging about your corruption and cheating isn’t a good thing,” another user wrote.

“678k people in DC and only 2k people voted? Takeaway: 1. DC is so ideologically disconnected from the rest of the country, it can’t possibly represent the people. 2. This is the strongest signal that no citizen can get a fair trial there, and certainly not Trump,” another user wrote.

Another X user pointed out that Elias’ post could be a good thing for the Trump team, noting: “Regardless, Marc just inadvertently admitted Trump can’t get a fair trial in DC and handed the Trump legal team a perfect ground for appeal and/or change of venue.”
