Illegal Migrant Kills Michigan Woman In Failed Carjacking

In another incident of violent crime committed by a person who should have never been admitted to the U.S., the community of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is in shock as a local woman, Ruby Garcia, 25, was found dead on the side of a highway. Authorities have charged Brandon Ortiz-Vite, 28, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, in relation to Garcia’s death following what is believed to have been a botched carjacking late Friday night. He now faces charges that include homicide, carjacking and felony firearm possession.

The incident unfolded on a quiet night when Michigan State Police were called to Route 131 in downtown Grand Rapids shortly after 11:30 p.m., where they discovered Garcia with a fatal gunshot wound. The community has been left reeling as details of the crime emerged. 

This case has ignited fierce debate over the country’s immigration policies. Many Americans see this week’s latest tragic event involving a violent crime allegedly committed by an illegal migrant as a clear example of the dangers posed by the Biden administration’s lax border control policies.

Last week, an illegal immigrant Brandon Ortiz-Vite shot 25-year-old woman Mavi Garcia multiple times and left her body on the side of a highway in Grand Rapids.

Ruby Garcia is being remembered by her family as a “great daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.”
